In Depth and Perspective

This week in Digital Photography we dida number of things. We got our marks back for previous assignments and went out and took pictures for Theme: In Depth and Perspective. Below are some photos that were taken by me and my partner. They are of different perspctives.
In this photo there is a little girl standing on top of a Coke can. She appears to be smaller than the Coke can. In reality she is standing several feet in the distance.
This photo is of a girl standing against a telephone pole. She appears to be half the height of the pole. In reality, she stood a great distance infront of the pole to give the illusion she is leaning on a telephone pole.
In this photo there is a tiny girl standing on a large fence. That is what the picture wants you to think. Actually, the girl is standing far behind a 2-ft fence. She looks small while the fence looks large.

Rule of Thirds & Framing

Since we only had a three day week, we couldn't do much in Digital Photogarphy. On Wednesday, we reviewed key information about cameras, like how to remove the battery and turn on and off the camera. On Wednesday we also learnt about rules of photogarphy. We looked at two rules. "The Rule of Thirds" and "Framing". On Thursday we went out and took pictures of the rules that we learnt. Below are some of the photos that my partner and I took this week.

This picture captures the rule of framing. The trees act as a border to draw all your attention on the sun.
This picture really fits "The Rule of Thirds". The pinecones are right on the intersecting line and it makes the photo look more appealing.
This photo also fits the rule of "Framing". The large trees on either side, the fence at the bootom all focus your attention on the group of girls in the middle.

Looking Up

We did a number of things  in Digital Photography class this week. We made timelines of important dates in photography history. Our class also took photos for our Weekly Theme: Looking Up.

I chose this photo becuase I'm a proud Canadian. I felt it really fit tour theme for this week.
This photo fits our theme because it was taken looking uphill.

I took this photo because I love looking up at the bare trees before Winter.

Student Survey

I chose to take Digital Photography because I've always been interested in taking photos and people who caould take a good photo without it being blurry. I don't have much experience with fancy cameras or pro photographers but I'm ready to learn and try new things.

I own a standard Canon camera. I do'nt use it very often. I only when I go on vacation. I enjoy taking pictures of sunsets and sunrises . I know very little about photogarphyI have edited many photos in my lifetime. I used to use Picnic but now I use PicMonkey.

I know 2 photographers. They are friends to my family and the community. I am hoping this class will help me take better photos.
